FY25 Bronx Fisher House Linen Contract (Base 4)   2

Background
The Bronx Fisher House Linen Contract is issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically the Network Contracting Activity at the Samuel S. Stratton VA Medical Center. The mission of this contract is to provide laundry and linen services for the Fisher House located at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center in Bronx, NY. The goal is to maintain a satisfactory facility condition by ensuring that all linens are cleaned and processed according to established standards.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide linen laundry service for the Fisher House, which includes laundering and processing bath towels, washcloths, bath mats, shower curtains, sheets, pillowcases, duvet covers, pillow shams, blankets, comforters, and mattress pads.

Services are required two days a week with an estimated annual volume of 30,000 pounds of linens. The contractor must comply with standards for hotel laundry operations as defined by the Association of Linen Management and ensure that all work is performed by skilled personnel who can communicate in English.

The contractor will be responsible for all necessary labor, travel, supervision, equipment, supplies, and coordination. Additionally, they must handle contaminated laundry separately and ensure that unserviceable items are returned to the Fisher House Manager. The contractor must also maintain documentation of services performed and provide timely responses to any additional service requests.

Period of Performance
The contract consists of a base year starting from April 1, 2025, followed by four consecutive option years.

The contract will be performed at the Fisher House located at 130 West Kingsbridge Road, Bronx, NY 10468.
