Description

VA Loma Linda Health Care System requires bulk laundry service as described in the statement of work (SOW). Background
The VA Loma Linda Health Care System requires bulk laundry service as described in the statement of work (SOW). The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, management, supplies, facilities, including transportation of linen to and from the contractor-owned/contractor-operated bulk laundry facility to accomplish the required linen cleaning service for complete medical laundry services, as described in this SOW for the VA Loma Linda Health Care System (VALLHCS). Performance shall be in accordance with the standards contained herein at the VA Loma Linda Health Care System 11201 Benton Street, Loma Linda, CA 92357, and secondary location at Ambulatory Care Center (ACC) 26001 Redlands Boulevard, Redlands, CA 92373.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity firm-fixed price (FFP) contract for a bulk laundry facility to accomplish the required linen cleaning services. All workmanship shall adhere to practices/guidelines established by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The contractor shall provide physical separation through the presence of a barrier wall and the use of pass-through equipment to maintain positive air pressure in the clean section relative to a negative air pressure in the soiled section. The delivery and pickup schedule includes specific locations and times for delivery/pickup of soiled and clean linens. The contractor is required to document and provide written and electronic reports of all processed soiled linens and all clean linens being delivered on a daily basis. Linen control requirements include not billing for laundry services until cleaned linens are delivered to VA, replacing government-owned items lost or badly damaged while under the control of the contractor within thirty days at their own expense, reporting unusual losses immediately to the COR for investigation, and re-cleaning unsatisfactory items at no additional cost.

Period of Performance
The contract period includes a base period from 02-01-2024 to 01-31-2025 with options for additional periods: Option 1: 02-01-2025 to 01-31-2026; Option 2: 02-01-2026 to 01-31-2027; Option 3: 02-01-2027 to 01-31-2028; Option 4: 02-01-2028 to 01-31-2029.
