NCO 23 has a requirement for a 5-year, Single Award, IDIQ for Ash Borer Treatment and Tree Service for the Sioux Falls SD VAHCS. Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically the NCO 23, is issuing a requirement for a 5-year, Single Award, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for Ash Borer Treatment and Tree Services at the Sioux Falls VA Health Care System (VAHCS).
This initiative aims to manage and mitigate the impact of the Emerald Ash Borer on trees within the facility's grounds, ensuring the health and safety of the environment.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for various tasks related to tree care and pest management, including:
1. Application of insecticide for Emerald Ash Borer treatment in three levels: Low, Medium, and High Treatment.
2. Tree trimming and removal services categorized by half-day and full-day rates.
3. The contract includes specific requirements for vendor qualifications such as proof of licensing as an arborist and certified applicator in South Dakota, along with safety training documentation for technicians.
4. A Quality Control Plan must be provided to ensure compliance with all aspects of the Statement of Work outlined in Section B.2.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on January 31, 2025, and will run through January 30, 2026, with options to extend for additional periods as specified in the solicitation.
