Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this solicitation for lawn care services to support the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center's Uptown and Downtown facilities. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the grounds are maintained in a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing condition, which aligns with the VA's mission to provide high-quality care to veterans.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, and supplies necessary for lawn maintenance across approximately 130 acres at the Charlie Norwood VAMC. Tasks include:

- Weekly grass cutting from March through September and bi-weekly from October through February.
- Edging walkways and driveways.
- Weed eating.
- Blowing curb areas.
- Maintaining weed-free beds and curbs.
- Pruning shrubbery at least twice a year.
- Trash pickup before mowing.
- Leaf removal in fall/winter.
- Removal of dead trees and stump grinding.
- Trimming trees to a minimum height of 15 feet.
- Installing weed barriers and mulch in courtyards and parking lots.
- Using sweeper trucks bi-weekly for parking lot maintenance after hours or on weekends.

Turf maintenance includes mowing at specified heights, trimming edges, weed control, spring reconditioning, and maintaining beds in a clean condition. The contractor must also report services performed to the Grounds Supervisor and adhere to safety precautions during operations.

Period of Performance
Base Year: May 1, 2026 – April 30, 2027; Option Year 1: May 1, 2027 – April 30, 2028; Option Year 2: May 1, 2028 – April 30, 2029; Option Year 3: May 1, 2029 – April 30, 2030; Option Year 4: May 1, 2030 – April 30, 2031.
