Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, C.W. Bill Young VA Healthcare System, Contracting Office, located in Bay Pines, FL, is seeking to procure a replacement for the LCHCC Irrigation Control System. This procurement is part of their mission to enhance healthcare services by ensuring that facilities are adequately maintained and operational. The contract is set aside exclusively for small businesses, in accordance with federal regulations.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all management, supervision, labor, permits, materials, supplies, tools, and equipment necessary to complete the removal and installation of a new irrigation control system and pumping system at the Lee County VA Medical Center. The current irrigation system is at zone capacity and cannot support new planting areas automatically. The new system must accommodate an expansion from 42 zones to a total of 100 zones. Specific requirements include:

- Installation of a traditional 100-station irrigation control system rated at 10hp, 480-volt three-phase with a capacity of 150 GPM @ 60 PSI.
- The new control system must be pedestal mounted and WiFi/app capable.
- Replacement of the existing motor with a 10hp centrifugal pump rated at 150 GPM @ 60 PSI along with a new filter, surge protector, and cooling fan under a weatherproof fiberglass hinged cover on a concrete pad.
- Removal and replacement of existing auto fill and shut down floats in the cistern.
- Testing of the system and training on programming for VA staff.
- Responsibility for job cleanliness including removal of all trash/debris related to the current irrigation system's removal.
