S208-Grounds Maintenance & Headstone Services at Barrancas National Cemetery

Background
The U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs, National Cemetery Administration, anticipates the award of an Firm, Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract for Grounds Maintenance & Headstone Services at Barrancas National Cemetery. The contract requires the contractor to furnish all supervision, labor, equipment, materials and supplies necessary to perform multiple grounds maintenance requirements simultaneously to maintain an acceptable appearance of the cemetery grounds.

Work Details
The tasks include acreage/sq ft measurements for developed and pasture areas, underground sprinkler system operation, inspection, and maintenance with all parts provided by the contractor, flag poles inspection, maintenance, repair including exterior lighting maintenance for flagpoles only, mulching with specific requirements for brown cypress mulch only, storm damage and debris clean-up priced based on significant damage caused by weather systems, identification and reporting of sunken grave or cremains requiring repair within 60 days of internment by the contractor, leaf collection & removal with determination of heavy accumulation by the COR and potential need for more frequent removal in certain areas, turf maintenance including pest control and top dressing on an as-needed basis with quotes per acre, lime application on an as-needed basis with quotes per acre, cleaning of headstones and markers without pressure washing them, water supply provided by , turf maintenance in buffer zone areas covering 98 developed acres requiring weekly mowing and trimming pointed out during the site visit, aerate, dethatch, verti-cut & debris removal on an as-needed basis with quotes per acre.

Base period from 05/01/2023 to 04/30/2024 plus 4 option years if exercised.
