Background
The contract is issued by the Phoenix VA Health Care System (PVAHCS) with the goal of developing and implementing a comprehensive Integrated Pest Management Program (IPM). The agency aims to ensure effective pest control and management services that comply with federal, state, and local regulations, while also adhering to the VA’s Green Environment Management System.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide all management, supervision, personnel, labor, tools, supplies, materials, transportation, equipment, and other items necessary for pest control at PVAHCS. Key tasks include:

1. Control and elimination of invertebrate and vertebrate pests including vermin (rats, mice), insects (bees, wasps, bed bugs), arachnids (spiders), and incidental invaders (termites).

2. Responding within 4 hours for bed bug treatments.

3. Understanding and implementing IPM principles.

4. Employing a Board-Certified Entomologist or Associate Certified Entomologist for consultations.

5. Providing non-chemical approaches for burrowing rodents at no additional cost.

6. Weekly evaluations of bird populations and semi-monthly maintenance for bird control in solar parking structures.

7. Decontamination services for areas affected by bird droppings including sanitizing and removing fecal matter.

8. Ensuring all personnel are certified pesticide applicators in Arizona and maintaining professional uniforms with company branding.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Phoenix VA Health Care System located at 650 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix, Arizona 85012.
