Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this solicitation for pest control services at the VA Western Colorado Health Care System. The mission of the agency is to provide high-quality healthcare to veterans. This contract aims to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff, and visitors by implementing an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) plan across its facilities.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all management, laboratory testing, tools, supplies, equipment, transportation, and labor necessary to develop and implement an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) plan for all buildings and grounds at the VA Western Colorado Health Care System campus. Services include:

- Regular scheduled inspections and treatments
- On-demand services for pest infestations
- Treatment of food handling areas during non-service times
- Use of low-odor pesticides in patient-occupied areas
- Submission of pesticide lists for approval
- Installation of rodent bait/trap systems
- Maintenance of flying insect traps
- Compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding pest control
- Collection and disposal of pests
- Control of various pests including structural arthropods, flying insects, predatory pests, stored product pests, rodents, birds, and wood-destroying organisms.

Emergency call-back services must be provided within four hours after notification. The contractor must also submit documentation after each service visit detailing pesticide application locations and types used.

Period of Performance
The contract period will begin on February 7, 2025, and end on February 6, 2030. It includes one base year plus four option years.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the VA Western Colorado Health Care System campus located at 2121 North Avenue, Grand Junction, CO 81501.
