Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking a contractor to perform solid waste management services, including the removal of miscellaneous trash and recycled trash from the Salem VA Medical Center in Salem, Virginia. The contractor is required to furnish all labor, material, equipment, transportation, lodging, and supervision necessary to perform these services.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide solid waste removal services, recycling services for cardboard, paper, plastics, and metals, and landfill fees for the VA Health Care System in Salem, Virginia. The contract includes a base period from July 1, 2024, to September 30, 2024, with four option years. The pick-up schedule for miscellaneous trash is three times a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The contractor is responsible for removing all trash and recycled materials to a landfill or recycling facility.
