Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing a solicitation for solid waste and recycling collection and disposal services at the Illiana Health Care System located in Danville, Illinois. This contract aims to ensure efficient waste management and recycling practices within the healthcare facility, aligning with the agency's mission to provide high-quality care to veterans.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other non-personal services necessary for solid waste and recycling disposal as defined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). The contractor is responsible for:

1. Timely removal of refuse, trash, and recyclables according to the established frequency.
2. Maintaining cleanliness in service areas and ensuring that all containers are in good working condition.
3. Complying with all applicable laws governing waste removal and disposal.
4. Providing detailed records of pickup dates, weights of materials transported, and disposal locations on a monthly basis.
5. Ensuring that all pickups of recyclables include pricing documentation provided within 48 hours of pickup.
6. Cleaning up any debris that falls during container exchanges and maintaining service areas in a clean state.

Period of Performance
The contract has a 5-year ordering period from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2030, with five one-year priced periods.

The services will be performed at the Illiana Health Care System located in Danville, Illinois.
