Background
The VA Salt Lake City Health Care System (VASLCHCS) is responsible for the health care of veterans and includes 3 patient care buildings and 27 support buildings that require fire alarm and fire suppression system monitoring, maintenance, and support. The facility is located in Salt Lake City, Utah, and utilizes Siemens fire alarm systems.

The goal of this contract is to ensure the safety and functionality of these systems through comprehensive monitoring, inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair services.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide all personnel, transportation, materials, equipment, supplies, facilities, supervision, and other essential items necessary for fire alarm and fire suppression systems monitoring, inspection, testing, maintenance (MITMR), and repair services. Key tasks include:
- Monitoring and notification to first responders of campus Fire Alarm System(s) activation 24/7.
- Conducting inspections and tests according to a specified schedule for various devices including pressure supervisory indicating devices (annually), valve supervisory switches (semiannually), duct heat smoke detectors (annually), notification devices (annually), sprinkler systems main drain tests (annually or quarterly), fire pump tests (annually), kitchen suppression tests (semiannually), etc.
- Providing 100% inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair service for all fire alarm devices listed in the SOW.
- Performing a one-time upgrade of outdated fire panels and devices including providing all necessary parts and programming.
- Meeting quarterly with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) to review documented MITMRs and compliance with current standards.
- Ensuring all devices have a Unique Identifier (UID) number for tracking purposes.
