Background
The contract is for janitorial services at the W.G. “Bill” Hefner (Salisbury) Veteran Affairs Medical Center (SVAMC) in Salisbury, North Carolina. The administrative cleaning requirement is for a minimum of ten Full-Time Equivalent Housekeepers for general/basic cleaning. The patient care cleaning requirement is for an additional ten Full-Time Equivalent Housekeepers for patient care cleaning, including carpet extraction/shampoo, stripping/waxing floors, through three-step disinfections, terminal cleaning and ultra-violet (UV) sterilization of patient care areas to include removal or mitigating highly infectious materials or terminal cleaning areas with patients with infectious diseases. The period of performance shall be for one (1) base year plus two (2) option years.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide a proposed work schedule to the COR describing how the services will be accomplished. All work shall be coordinated with the COR or designated representative when accomplished during normal business hours to avoid disruptions or conflicts between functions and the provision of service under this contract. The facility POC will communicate with the designated Representative (COR) services and completion of those services to validate work was accomplished as required.
The Contractor shall maintain a Certified Executive Housekeeper (CEH) on site 6:00am-10:30pm, Monday through Friday, to include Federal Holidays and to ensure a CEH can be contacted by phone afterhours, 24/7, with response time of 1 hour for emergent situations.

Period of Performance Base Year: 5/1/2023-9/30/2023; Option Year 1: 10/1/2023-9/30/2024; Option Year 2: 10/1/2024-9/30/2025
