Janitorial Services - Northport VA Medical Center   2

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing a solicitation for janitorial services at the Northport VA Medical Center.
The goal of this contract is to ensure a clean and sanitary environment for patients, staff, and visitors, aligning with the agency's mission to provide high-quality healthcare services.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide comprehensive janitorial services including but not limited to:
- Sweeping and mopping floors to ensure cleanliness and hygiene.
- Deep scrubbing and burnishing of floors using appropriate cleaning solutions and equipment.
- Stripping and waxing floors every six months during non-business hours.
- Daily cleaning and restocking of restrooms, including sanitizing fixtures and replenishing supplies.
- Waste removal from all areas, ensuring containers are emptied, cleaned, and sanitized.
- Regular dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning of all surfaces in offices, reception areas, and clinics.
- Maintaining a quality assurance plan that includes regular inspections and corrective actions as necessary.
The contractor will also be responsible for providing managerial oversight and ensuring compliance with healthcare sanitation standards.

Period of Performance
The contract period spans from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026 (Base Year), with options to extend for four additional years through March 31, 2030.
