S201 - Evanston VA Clinic Janitorial Services (8/1/25-7/31/26)   3

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this contract for janitorial and custodial services at the Evanston VA Clinic, located in Evanston, Illinois. The mission of the VA is to provide high-quality healthcare to veterans, and this contract aims to ensure that the clinic maintains a clean and sanitary environment for its patients and staff. This solicitation is set aside for 100% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, management, and supervision necessary to perform janitorial/custodial services at the Evanston VA Clinic. The services include:

1. Basic Cleaning Service: All cleaning tasks must meet the requirements outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW).

2. General Dusting/Disinfecting Surfaces: All surfaces must be free of dust, dirt, debris, stains, and residue using disinfectants.

3. Remove Trash and Recycling: Empty trash containers, replace liners, wash soiled containers, and deposit trash in designated outside containers.

4. Biohazard Containers: Empty when full or as needed; waste stored in centralized biohazard containers.

5. Needle Boxes: Empty when filled to the black line and replace inserts as needed.

6. Dirty Laundry Bags: Remove from clinical areas when full and replace with new bags.

7. De-scale Sinks and Traps: Perform de-scaling to maintain cleanliness in all sinks throughout the facility.

8. Office Furniture: Ensure all furniture surfaces are free from dust and debris.

9. Drinking Fountains: Clean and disinfect all surfaces of drinking fountains thoroughly.

10. Ventilation Grates/Grilles/Covers: Must be free of dust and debris.

11. Light Fixtures: Cleaned to remove dust.

12. Equipment Surfaces: Must be kept clean from dust and smudges.

13. Tile Floors: Daily cleaning required; stripping, scrubbing, waxing, and buffing as necessary.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract will begin on August 1, 2025, and end on July 31, 2026, with options for four additional one-year periods.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the Evanston VA Clinic located at 1942 Dempster Street, Evanston, Illinois 60202.
