CON-NRM 663-21-100 UPGRADE EXTERNAL SECURITY SYSTEM FY26 Tier 1   2

Background
The VA Puget Sound Health Care System – Seattle Division is undertaking a project to upgrade the external security system across its campus. This initiative aims to enhance the safety and security of veterans and staff by implementing various improvements, including traffic changes, emergency telephones, and additional security cameras in the B, C, D, and E parking lots.

The upgrades are designed to integrate seamlessly with the existing campus infrastructure, including power and IT/Security control systems.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all necessary labor, materials, supplies, services, and equipment to complete the work as outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW) and accompanying specifications and drawings. The project will involve:
- Electrical work including removal and installation of conduit.
- Telecommunications tasks requiring new communications wiring with confined space work.
- Installation of a new Blue Light System for emergency communication.
- Modifications to walkways and roadways which include demolition of existing areas and repaving.
- Ensuring that all new finishes match existing finishes and color schemes in the parking lots unless otherwise specified.
- Coordination with site IT and security personnel for successful integration of systems.

All construction activities must be conducted with consideration for ongoing operations at the medical center, adhering to restrictions on noise pollution, noxious fumes, vibrations, and other potential disruptions.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period is expected to begin upon award and will last for a duration that is yet to be determined but will be specified in the solicitation documents.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at the VA Puget Sound Medical Center located in Seattle, WA.
