Background
The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing this solicitation for the provision of wastewater removal and potable water deliveries at Alcatraz Island, which is part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area in San Francisco County, California. The goal of this contract is to ensure the safe and effective management of wastewater and potable water services on Alcatraz Island, which is a critical component of maintaining operations and public health on the island.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for daily removal of wastewater and delivery and testing of potable water. Additionally, the contractor must be prepared to handle unanticipated excess quantities of wastewater or potable water as needed. The contractor shall provide all necessary management, supervision, labor, materials, supplies, and equipment to perform these services.

Coordination with NPS representatives on Alcatraz Island is required to plan and schedule services without interfering with normal ferry operations. All services must be conducted via boat due to Alcatraz Island's location in San Francisco Bay. Specific tasks include:
1. Daily removal of wastewater.
2. Delivery of potable water.
3. Testing of delivered potable water.
4. Emergency calls for additional services (up to five per year).

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is anticipated to begin on October 1, 2025, and end on September 30, 2026, with options for four additional years.

Place of Performance
All work will be performed at Alcatraz Island within the Golden Gate National Recreation Area in San Francisco County, California.
