Taylor Hwy Outhouse Pumping 2026

Background
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Alaska State Office, is seeking contractors for a requirement involving the pumping of outhouses along the Taylor Highway in Alaska. This initiative aligns with BLM's mission to manage public lands for the benefit of current and future generations. The contract aims to ensure proper waste management and sanitation at various outhouse locations, thereby supporting public health and environmental standards.

Work Details
Contractor shall perform annual outhouse waste removal by pumping from BLM-maintained outhouses located at specified sites along the Taylor Highway. Services must be completed over a two-day period each year, between September 18th and September 30th. The specific locations include:

- Mile 160 Taylor Highway (Eagle, Alaska):
1. BLM Eagle Campground (3 outhouses, 1000 gal each)
2. BLM Fort Egbert Mule Barn (1 outhouse, 500 gal)
3. BLM Eagle Field Station, Airport (1 outhouse, 500 gal)

- Mile Post 35 – 112.5 of the Taylor Highway:
1. Mile 35, Mount Fairplay (1 outhouse, 800 gal)
2. Mile 49, West Fork Campground (4 outhouses: 2 each, 1000 gal; 2 each, 800 gal)
3. Mile 64, Mosquito Fork Wayside (1 outhouse, 1000 gal)
4. Mile 68, Chicken Field Station (3 outhouses: 2 each, 800 gal; 2 each, septic of 1000 gal)
5. Mile 75, South Fork Wayside (2 outhouses, both are 800 gal)
6. Mile 82, Walker Fork Campground (3 outhouses, each is a thousand gallons)
7. Mile Post112.5 Forty Mile Bridge Wayside (1 outhouse,500 gal).

All sewage and waste material must be disposed of at a State of Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation approved facility in compliance with applicable laws.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is from September 17,2026 to September30,2031 with annual service requirements during this timeframe.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed along the Taylor Highway in Alaska.
