Background
The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing a Request for Quote (RFQ) for Solid Waste Sanitation Services at Palisades - Rock Creek National Park in Washington, DC. This contract aims to ensure proper refuse collection and sanitation services in the park, which is essential for maintaining cleanliness and supporting the park's mission of providing a safe and enjoyable environment for visitors.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, vehicles, supervision, and other items necessary to perform refuse collection and emptying of trash cans from designated sites within the park. Services must comply with local, state, and federal regulations. The contractor will be required to:
- Perform refuse collection according to a designated schedule.
- Adjust service frequency from May through September due to increased visitor volume.
- Maintain vehicles in operable condition that meet safety regulations.
- Ensure personnel present a neat appearance and have appropriate licenses.
- Comply with traffic laws during operations.
- Address refuse collection during inclement weather and high winds as specified in the contract.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is from April 15, 2026, to April 14, 2027, with options to extend for four additional years.
