THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT FOR REQUEST FOR QUOTE. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item being procured in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information as included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes/proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The National Park Service intends to solicit quotes for a service of Refuse and Recycling Service for Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore in Michigan.
This is the solicitation number 140P6425Q0003 and is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). This requirement is a 100% total small business set-aside. The associated NAICS code is 562111. Provisions and clauses are, incorporated in this solicitation document. Anticipated Award Date: on or before 12/13/2024 with an effective date of 01/01/2025.
To be considered for award your company must obtain a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI). GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF STATEMENT OF WORK
Independently, and not as an agent of the Government, the Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to provide refuse and recycling service at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.

Background
The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing this solicitation for refuse and recycling services at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore in Michigan. The goal of the contract is to provide comprehensive waste management services to support the park's environmental stewardship and visitor experience. This solicitation number 140P6425Q0003 is a request for quote (RFQ).

Work Details
The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to provide refuse and recycling service at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. The services include:
- Trash and garbage collection services, including portable sanitation services, in accordance with specifications outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW).

- The contract includes a base year of service from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025, with options for additional years (OY1 through OY4) extending through December 31, 2029. Each option year includes similar trash collection services as specified for the base year.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for the base year is from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025. Option years are available from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026; January 1, 2027, to December 31, 2027; January 1, 2028, to December 31, 2028; and January 1, 2029, to December 31, 2029.
