Background
The contract is for Stevedoring and Related Terminal Services (S&RTS) at the ports of Poti and Batumi in the Republic of Georgia. The contract is issued by the Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC), which plays a vital role in supporting every war, major contingency, training exercise, and humanitarian relief operation where US military forces are deployed.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide stevedoring and longshoring labor, material handling equipment (MHE), yard and port management services, cargo receipt and disposition, cargo staging, transfer of cargo, tallying and checking, physical security, facilities, storage/staging, office space, office supplies, and documentation and reconciliation of services. The contractor must ensure that all tasks are completed in a manner consistent with the 'Best Commercial Practices'.
