Re-Compete of Contract SS00-17-60025 for Armed Gua   2

Background
The Social Security Administration (SSA) is soliciting proposals for Protective Security Services at SSA's Second Support Center (SSC) and Research Triangle Park (RTP) Building in Durham, NC. Capable and responsible Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) contractors are invited to review the documents herein and provide a proposal by the date identified in Block 8 of this form.

Work Details
The Contractor shall furnish all necessary management, supervision, labor, materials, supplies, vehicles, and equipment except as may be otherwise specified herein and shall plan, schedule, coordinate, and assure effective performance of all services described herein. The Contractor shall be required to provide protective security services at the Social Security Administration (SSA) Second Support Center (SSC) and Research Triangle Park (RTP) located in Durham, NC. The contract requires armed security services to protect people and property at the SSA facilities. The contract also includes transition period, base year, option years, and optional additional services hours and prices.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for the contract includes a transition period from 04/15/2022 to 06/14/2022, a base year from 06/15/2022 to 06/14/2023, option years from 06/15/2023 to 06/14/2027, and an option to extend services from 06/15/2027 to 12/14/2027.

Place of Performance
The contract requires protective security services at the Social Security Administration Second Support Center (SSC) located at 3604 Louis Stephens Drive, Durham, North Carolina 22709 and the Research Triangle Park (RTP) Building located at 3308/3310 Chapel Hill – Nelson Boulevard, Durham, North Carolina 27709.
