NY-FWS LONG ISLAND NWR- JANITORIAL SERVI
Background
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) is seeking janitorial services for the Long Island National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) Complex located in Shirley, NY. The mission of the USFWS is to conserve, protect, and enhance fish, wildlife, and plants and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people. This contract aims to ensure that the administrative offices and visitor facilities are maintained in a clean and sanitary condition to support the agency's operations.

Work Details
The contractor will provide janitorial services on a once or twice weekly basis for the Long Island NWR Complex administrative offices and visitor facility. The government will supply cleaning products, paper towels, toilet tissue, trash can liners/bags, batteries, and soap for dispensers. The contractor must provide any additional cleaning supplies and equipment necessary for cleaning. Work hours will be scheduled on weekdays between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Key tasks include:

- Cleaning (sanitizing) non-carpet floor areas including slate, wood, and concrete using appropriate materials.
- Cleaning carpeted offices and common areas (18 rooms total).
- Cleaning (sanitizing) interior glass doors, dusting windowsills, baseboards, and polishing wooden tables.
- Cleaning (sanitizing) eight restrooms and two basement locker rooms including all fixtures.
- Removing trash and recyclables from all areas including offices, kitchens, bathrooms, locker rooms, conference rooms, etc.
- Dusting and removing debris from horizontal surfaces throughout the building.
- Washing inside windows annually in January.

Period of Performance
The period of performance is from August 1, 2025 to July 31, 2030 with a base period of twelve months followed by four option years.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Long Island National Wildlife Refuge Complex located at 340 Smith Road, Shirley, NY 11967.
