Background
The Historic Preservation Training Center (HPTC) in Frederick, MD requires janitorial services to support its facilities at various locations. The HPTC is a part of the National Park Service and has several historic buildings and modern facilities that require cleaning services. The contract is a non-personal services contract to provide weekly janitorial services at the specified locations. The contractor is responsible for providing management, supervision, quality control, labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supplies necessary for effective cleaning.

Work Details
The scope of work includes weekly janitorial services at multiple locations including the Gambrill House, Gambrill Garage Office, Jenkins Warehouse, Detached Office Multi-Purpose Building, and Modular Office at the Hargett Farm. Specific tasks include emptying and cleaning all trash containers, recycling containers and paper shredders; cleaning and dusting all rooms; removing fingerprints and smudges from doors, doorframes, light switch plates, and walls; vacuuming carpets and rugs; cleaning glass partitions, drinking fountains, and bottle filling stations; turning off lights in unoccupied rooms; dusting all flat surfaces including shelves, desktops, counter tops, windowsills, tops of baseboards and all other horizontal flat surfaces; vacuuming carpeted areas; dust mopping and damp mopping tile and wood flooring; cleaning restrooms including sinks, toilets, plumbing fixtures, mirrors, soap dispensers, trash containers and dispensers; sanitizing toilet seats and surrounding areas with germicidal solution; cleaning kitchen and breakrooms including trash containers, counters, sinks, tables and chairs; window cleaning; using government-furnished supplies effectively; providing supervision to ensure compliance with specifications; correcting any deficient work immediately after formal notification; ensuring employees wear clean uniforms with the company name/logo while on NPS property.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for the contract is from 06/21/2024 to 06/20/2029. The contract includes a One-Year Base period with Four Option Years.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at various locations in Frederick, Maryland including the Gambrill House (4801A Urbana Pike), Gambrill Garage Office (4801A Urbana Pike), Jenkins Warehouse (106 Commerce Street), Detached Office Multi-Purpose Building (106 Commerce Street), and Modular Office at the Hargett Farm (6129 Butterfly Ln.).
