Bastendorff Beach Cleaning 2025, Coos Ba

Background
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Umpqua Field Office is issuing this solicitation for the Bastendorff Beach Restrooms and Garbage Maintenance contract. The mission of the BLM is to manage public lands for multiple uses while ensuring the protection of the environment.

The goal of this contract is to maintain cleanliness and sanitation at Bastendorff Beach, which is a recreational area located approximately 5 miles south of Coos Bay, Oregon.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for cleaning two double-vault toilet restroom buildings, removing trash from two trash cans within the recreational area, and clearing all trash from four parking lots. The work will be divided into three seasons:

- High Season (June 20 to September 8 and May 19 to June 19)
- Mid-Season (September 9 to October 31 and March 1 to May 18)
- Low Season (November 1 to February 28).

Specific tasks include:
- Cleaning restrooms seven days a week during high season, five days a week during mid-season, and two days a week during low season.
- Thoroughly washing and disinfecting toilets, grab bars, door handles, and floors.
- Stocking toilet paper dispensers ensuring they are at least 75% full.
- Emptying garbage can stations and replacing liners with new garbage bags.
- Reporting any incidents of vandalism or equipment malfunctions immediately.
- Sweeping walkways adjacent to restrooms and picking up litter within a specified distance around the restrooms.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract spans from June 20, 2025, through February 28, 2026, with specific cleaning schedules outlined for high season (113 days), mid-season (94 days), and low season (34 days).

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Bastendorff Beach located approximately 5 miles south of Coos Bay, Oregon.
