Rugged, Mobile Data Acquisition System for Coal Mine Roof Safety Research

Background
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), is issuing RFQ 75D301-26-Q-79258 for a rugged, mobile data acquisition system to support mine safety research. The goal of this contract is to enhance safety in underground coal mining operations by providing a system that can collect and analyze high-frequency data from roof bolting machines.

Work Details
The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed-price purchase order for one complete, field-ready rugged mobile data acquisition system. The system must include all necessary hardware, software, licenses, cables, connectors, communications equipment, accessories, and other components to ensure full operational capability. Specific requirements include:
- Item 0001: Rugged Mobile Data Acquisition System - Quantity: 1 Each
- Item 0002: Shipping/Freight - Quantity: 1 Each
Quoters must provide pricing for all components and identify the manufacturer, make/model, part numbers, and configuration proposed. The system must meet all requirements outlined in Attachment 1 of the solicitation.

Period of Performance
Delivery shall be completed within six (6) months after award.

Place of Performance
NIOSH Pittsburgh Mining Research Division, 626 Cochran Mill Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236.

Bidder Requirements
Quoters must be either the manufacturer or an authorized reseller/distributor of the proposed equipment. They are required to provide evidence of authorization upon request. Additionally, compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards is mandatory. The contractor must also provide the manufacturer's standard commercial warranty and be capable of offering technical support.
