RT/CT Radiology Services for Cass Lake Service Unit

Background
The Indian Health Service (IHS) is issuing this solicitation for RT/CT Radiology Services at the Cass Lake Service Unit. The goal of this contract is to provide essential radiology services, including general x-ray and computed tomography (CT) imaging, to support healthcare delivery in a rural setting. This contract is set aside for 100% Indian Economic Enterprise (IEE) certified businesses, emphasizing the agency's commitment to supporting Indian-owned enterprises.

Work Details
The contractor will provide up to 2 Registered Radiologic Technologists (RT) / Computed Tomography Technologists (CT) for coverage during weekdays, occasional weekends, and federally recognized holidays at the Cass Lake PHS Indian Hospital. The services required include:
- Conducting all general imaging exams such as chest, head, abdominal, spine, upper and lower extremities.
- Performing CT-related imaging exams once in-house CT equipment is installed.
- Independently executing standard examinations with high accuracy in positioning and exposure.
- Maintaining records and image files of patients examined.
- Utilizing a fixed Radiography unit and adhering to the ALARA principle during imaging.
- Performing necessary Quality Control on radiography units and troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Following all written procedures and policies including radiation safety and infection control.
- Participating in radiology proficiency testing and quality assurance programs as necessary.
- Keeping the radiology area neat and orderly while using personal protective equipment as appropriate.
- Providing services in a professional manner while considering age-specific needs of patients.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a base year with four one-year options, allowing for continued service provision based on performance evaluations.
