Description

This will be a Firm Fixed Price purchase order with payment being made via IPP.gov at completion of the project. This is a 100% small business set aside. The visitor center is open to the public and we are planning a one time officail site visiton Wednesday Sept 3 at 11am.

The Lennox air conditioning unit that services the conference room at the Tonto Basin Visitor Center needs replacement. Initial inspection revealed that varmints chewed through some of the wiring, and when the air conditioner was turned on it caused the compressor to burn out and fail.

This contract will require the Contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and tools, including incidentals, necessary to replace the old air conditioner unit.

Background
The U.S. Forest Service, specifically the Tonto National Forest, is issuing this solicitation for the replacement of an air conditioning unit at the Tonto Basin Visitor Center. The center serves the public and is located in Roosevelt, Arizona.

The goal of this contract is to provide a new air conditioning unit to replace a damaged Lennox unit that failed due to wiring issues caused by varmints.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, equipment, and tools necessary for the complete removal of the old air conditioning unit and installation of a new 22-ton or equivalent air conditioning unit. The work includes:
- Mobilization, including bonding costs for personnel and equipment to complete the project.
- Diagnosing the existing air conditioning unit to determine repair needs.
- Replacing the old Lennox air conditioning unit with a new one, including removal and disposal of the old unit and refrigerant in compliance with environmental regulations.

Period of Performance
The project will commence as soon as an award is made, with plans to install within 30 days of award.
