Description

The Annapolis. MD Annapolis, MD CAX Roof Replacement - Areas A, B and C Solicitation documents are available on the USPS eSourcing tool (COUPA) utilized by the United States Postal Service. The site can be accessed at https://uspsprod.COUPA.com. Attached is information for registration into the system

Once your company is registered and has been approved, you will be eligible to receive invitations to bid in USPS COUPA RFx events and to view all solicitation documents for the Annapolis. MD Annapolis, MD CAX Roof Replacement - Areas A, B and C Solicitation. Please take a moment to review the registration instructions.

Background
The United States Postal Service (USPS) is seeking contractors for the roof replacement project at the Annapolis, MD facility, specifically targeting Areas A, B, and C.

The goal of this contract is to ensure the integrity and safety of the roofing systems while adhering to applicable codes and regulations. The project involves comprehensive work that includes the removal of existing roofing materials and installation of new roofing systems.

Work Details
The contractor must provide all necessary materials, labor, tools, supplies, equipment, transportation, and services to complete the roof replacement work. Key tasks include:
- Temporary interior protection (alternate pricing required).
- Asbestos analysis and management as per Sections 022623, 013543, and 028233.
- Roof removal down to the structural deck including all membranes and insulation; inspection for damage.
- Refasten existing structural decks with unit pricing for areas needing refastening (refer to Section 053123).
- Repairs to structural decks as needed.
- Installation of insulation in three areas:
- Area A: Two layers of 2-1/2 inch polyisocyanurate insulation (5 inches total).
- Area B: One layer of 1-inch polyisocyanurate insulation.
- Area C: Tapered polyisocyanurate insulation system with a slope of 1/8-inch per foot starting at a minimum thickness of 1 inch.
- Installation of a high-density polyisocyanurate cover board over insulation.
- Fully-adhered PVC roof system meeting ASTM D4434 standards with an option for a 20-Year Total System Warranty (refer to Sections 075419 and 076207).
- Sealants applied as indicated in project drawings (refer to Section 079201).
- Additional lightning protection work as specified in Section 264113.
