Description

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center for HIV, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention (NCHHSTP) International Laboratory Branch intends to award a sole source purchase order to Roche Diagnostics Corp, 9115 Hague Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46556-1025 for the purchase of Maintenance Services for the Roche cobas 4800 and cobas 6800 .

The authority for this sole source acquisition is in accordance with FAR Part 12.102(a).

Roche Diagnostics Coporation is the only authorized currently the only authorized service provider for the Roche cobas 4800 and cobas 6800 equipment. Any services provided from other sources will not void any warranty or guarantees and may not be serviced by Roche Diagnostics when requested. Accordingly, because this is the instrument that the lab requires for their work, no other retailer can provide the required maintenance service.

As a result of this synopsis, no competitive solicitation will be posted on sam.gov. We will issue only one solicitation to the identified entity. However, responsible sources that believe they can meet these requirements are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notice by providing a capability statement to the Contracting Officer by the closing date of this posting. The Contracting Officer will not respond to verbal request. All requests must be in writing.

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action will be based on responses to this notice and are solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.

Background
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), specifically the National Center for HIV, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention (NCHHSTP) International Laboratory Branch, intends to award a sole source purchase order to Roche Diagnostics Corp located at 9115 Hague Road, Indianapolis, Indiana.

The purpose of this contract is to secure maintenance services for the Roche cobas® 4800 and cobas® 6800 systems. Roche Diagnostics Corporation is the only authorized service provider for these specific pieces of equipment, which are critical for laboratory operations. The need for these services arises from the requirement to maintain functionality in testing platforms essential for HIV-1 viral load and early infant diagnosis testing in PEPFAR-supported field laboratories.

- KIT COBAS 58/68/8800 SPEC DIL RGNT IVD: 2 each
- KIT COBAS 58/68/8800 LYS RGNT IVD: 2 each
- KIT COBAS 58/68/8800 MGP IVD: 4 each
- KIT COBAS 58/68/8800 HBV/HCV/HIV RMC IVD: 2 each
- KIT COBAS 58/68/8800 NHP NEG RMC: 2 each
- KIT COBAS 58/68/8800 HIV-1/2 RMC IVD: 2 each
- Maintenance services for:
- cobas6800 classic service: 1 each
- cobas4800 classic service: 1 each
The estimated procurement amount is $130,151.30.
