Road Gate Installation, Littleville Lake, Huntington, MA

Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is issuing this contract for the installation of a new road gate at Littleville Lake, Huntington, MA. The goal of the contract is to enhance access control and safety at the Littleville Dam by replacing existing infrastructure with a new single-arm road gate. This procurement is set aside for small business vendors, with an emphasis on supporting small businesses in construction projects.

Work Details
The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to provide and install one (1) single-arm road gate that spans approximately 22 feet across the existing roadway at Littleville Dam. The work includes the removal and disposal of two (2) existing posts currently marking the location for the new gate.

The installation must include all associated components such as gate arms, lock protection boxes, pins, concrete footings, pivot posts, and locking posts. Additionally, the contractor is responsible for priming and painting all gates Safety Yellow and applying DOT red/white reflective tape to both sides of the gate arms and cross arms. All work must comply with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers safety requirements and applicable OSHA regulations.

Period of Performance
The work shall be completed no later than 180 days from the Contract Award.

Bidder Requirements
This opportunity is set aside for small business vendors. Contractors are required to provide bid/payment/performance bonds as well as necessary contractor licensing. Additionally, bidders must submit preconstruction documents including ENG Form 6293 (Accident Prevention Plan Worksheet), ENG Form 6206 (Activity Hazard Analysis), ENG Form 6282 (Site Safety and Health Officer Designation Letter), First Aid and CPR Certificates, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
