Road Deicing Treatment IDIQ

Background
The solicitation is for a firm fixed-price, five-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) supply contract for the acquisition of road deicing treatment. The primary delivery requirement is during the winter season months. The contract will be managed by the Army Contracting Command (ACC) Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Tobyhanna Division.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide and deliver road deicing treatment containing Sodium Chloride, Type 1, Grade 1 that meets specific standards and performs in temperatures down to at least -10 degrees Fahrenheit. The product must also contain Anti-Cake, Storite Compound introduced uniformly throughout the Sodium Chloride at a specific rate. Deliveries must be made by tandem or tri-axle dump trucks, and frameless trailers are prohibited. The minimum order quantity is 300 tons, and the maximum order quantity is 1,500 tons. The overall contract requires a minimum of 300 tons and a maximum of 44,000 tons. Deliveries will be scheduled on an as-needed basis dependent upon the severity of the winter season.

Period of Performance
The contract period is for five years with specific ordering periods for each year after the date of award.

Place of Performance
Deliveries are to be made to Tobyhanna Army Depot (TYAD) in accordance with the schedule outlined in the Statement of Work.
