River Repairs and Upper Bank Paving SATOC   3

Background
The contract is issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and focuses on various stone repairs to navigation structures along the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers.
The mission is to maintain and enhance river navigation by repairing revetments, dikes, and bend way weirs, as well as constructing hardpoints and placing riprap upper bank paving.
The goal of the contract is to ensure the integrity of these structures over multiple ordering periods.

Work Details
The work includes:
- Mobilization and demobilization for each task order.
- Placement of approximately 2,500,000 tons of various types of stone over four ordering periods.
- Specific tasks include:
- 250 lb riprap stone placement (7,500 tons)
- Graded stone A (45,000 tons)
- Graded stone B (2,100 tons)
- Graded stone C (112,500 tons)
- R-1500 riprap stone (2,100 tons)
- Riprap upper bank paving (60,000 tons)
- Crushed stone (2,100 tons)
- Filter stone (2,100 tons)
- Overbank stone placement from top of bank to 300 feet (60,000 tons) and from 300 feet to 3,000 feet (7,500 tons)
- Earthwork (45,000 cubic yards)
- Stone removal and reuse tasks (50 hours each)
- Upstream towing (100 miles) and downstream towing (100 miles).

Period of Performance
The contract will be executed over four ordering periods spanning from 2024 to 2027.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed along the Ohio River from Mound City, Illinois (Ohio River Mile 972), to the Memphis-Arkansas Bridge on the Mississippi River (Mississippi River Mile 735 AHP), and further down to the mouth of the White River in Arkansas (Mississippi River Mile 599 AHP).
