Description

The purpose of this contract is for the contractor to identify and provide recommendations to mitigate risks associated with programs and initiatives within the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS); address fraud, waste, and abuse; propose mitigation strategies, and preserve the integrity of the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation models/initiatives and CMS programs.

Background
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), part of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), aims to mitigate risks, address fraud, waste, and abuse, and preserve the integrity of its programs.

Booz Allen Hamilton (BAH) has been supporting CMS since 2018 under the Risk Management Support Contract.

Work Details
The contract modification involves BAH continuing to support CMS in stakeholder engagement, impact analysis using proprietary tools, data collection for burden reduction, and improving healthcare experiences.

Specific tasks include expanding stakeholder feedback mechanisms, providing data analytics, finalizing the 2022 RFI, developing a strategic plan for the 2023 RFI, reviewing CMS rules for burden reduction, and supporting component engagement meetings.

BAH will also conduct rule analysis to measure burden reduction impacts and assist in developing best practices for future rule reviews.

Period of Performance
The extension includes an additional three-month period with two one-month option periods.
