Background
The Rio Puerto Nuevo Flood Control Project is being issued by the Caribbean District, with the goal of enhancing flood control measures in San Juan, Puerto Rico. This specific solicitation pertains to Supplemental Contract 3, which focuses on channel bottom and wall improvements. The project aims to address critical infrastructure needs and improve the overall flood management system in the region.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
- Installation of a utility bridge, sanitary siphon, and relocation of a 48-inch water main;
- Construction of drilled shaft walls using slurry fluids;
- Implementation of noise and vibration controls during installations;
- Erosion control placement in wet conditions;
- Water diversion and surface/groundwater control;
- Electrical utility relocation with coordination with local agencies;
- Material excavation and disposal using barges and trucking methods.

The contractor must also provide performance and payment bonds as required.

Period of Performance
The contractor is expected to begin performance within 10 calendar days after receiving the notice to proceed and complete the work within 2190 calendar days.
