Rifle Resistant Plates - Stand Alone   2

Background
The solicitation is issued by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for Rifle Resistant Plates – Stand Alone. The FBI is the principal agency responsible for investigating violations of more than 260 Federal statutes. The protection afforded by Ballistic Protective Armor may be paramount to one’s survival in the performance of law enforcement duties.

Work Details
The contract requires the provision of stand-alone Rifle Resistant Plates – Stand Alone, in various sizes for the torso and side plates. The plates must be compatible with current-issue carriers utilized by the FBI and must stop ballistic threats including M80, M855, M193, and 7.62 x 39 Mild Steel Core (MSC) at specified velocities.
The contract will be structured as a Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) type contract for one base year and four possible one-year option periods. The maximum threshold for the established IDIQ is $2,000,000.00 USD.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for delivery is within 90 days after receipt of order.

Place of Performance
Deliveries shall be shipped FOB Destination to all FBI (and other approved Federal government) locations within the continental United States (CONUS), as well as Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
