RFQ for FY26 Quillayute River Channel Log Obstruction Removal - La Push, WA

Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is issuing this contract to provide debris removal services for a submerged tree that is creating an obstruction in the Quillayute River Federal channel in La Push, Washington. The tree has been determined to significantly impede navigation, posing a hazard to mariners.

The goal of this contract is to ensure safe navigation by removing the obstruction.

Work Details
The contractor shall perform the following tasks:
1. Mobilization/Demobilization;
2. Recover submerged tree: Remove the submerged tree from the Quillayute River according to the approved work plan;
3. Debris disposal or recycling: Dispose of the tree in the Pacific Ocean or on the oceanside of the Rialto Revetment as per the approved work plan. Additionally, deliverables include a Naval Architect Analysis if using floating crane operations, a crane load chart, a detailed work plan, a spill plan for unforeseen spills, and an Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA). Performance will be evaluated based on specific performance standards outlined in Part 7 of the PWS.

Period of Performance
The period of performance shall be for 30 days after the date of award.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in the Quillayute River channel in La Push, Washington.
