Background
The U.S. Consulate General in Istanbul is initiating a tender process for the construction of a basketball court. This project aims to enhance recreational facilities at the consulate, aligning with its mission to promote community engagement and provide quality amenities for staff and visitors.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

1. Site Preparation: Conduct a site survey, clean the existing court surface, level the ground if necessary, and install erosion control measures if needed.

2. Design and Layout: Develop detailed full-court design plans (10m x 20m) including markings for free-throw lines and three-point arcs, ensuring compliance with local building codes.

3. Foundation and Surface Construction: Apply a weather-resistant acrylic coating to the concrete surface, paint designated areas in specified colors (grey, blue, light blue), and use durable materials for court lines.

4. Equipment Installation: Install two high-quality basketball hoop systems with safety features, provide two net poles and nets for tennis, and include an outdoor bench and locker for sports equipment.

5. Perimeter and Safety Features: Install fencing or barriers around the court, construct a concrete wall with rebar reinforcement around three sides of the court, provide stamped structural engineering calculations by a licensed engineer in Turkey, ensure compliance with local wind loads and construction codes.

Period of Performance
The contractor shall begin performance within 10 calendar days after receiving the award and complete it within 30 calendar days.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must furnish any required performance and payment bonds within specified calendar days after award. Contractors must comply with local licensing requirements and provide stamped structural engineering calculations prepared by a licensed civil/structural engineer in Turkey.
