Background
The U.S. Embassy in Kathmandu, Nepal, is seeking a contractor to provide preventive maintenance services for the Ansul Kitchen Hood Fire Suppression System and cleaning of exhaust ducts at its embassy properties. The goal of this contract is to ensure the safety and functionality of kitchen fire suppression systems and associated equipment, which are critical for the embassy's operations.

Work Details
The contractor will perform preventive maintenance services that include:

1. Developing a work plan that addresses all elements in the Scope of Work.
2. Identifying necessary equipment, supplies, and materials for service performance, including their condition and acquisition plans if not already possessed.
3. Ensuring quality of services through contract administration and oversight.
4. Providing proof of insurance or a statement regarding obtaining required insurance.
5. Submitting a company brochure and client list as part of the proposal.

Specific tasks include:
- Cleaning kitchen hoods, ducts, VFDs, and exhaust fans using approved methods and materials;
- Inspecting and testing the ANSUL R-102 and PIRANHA fire suppression systems according to NFPA standards;
- Conducting thorough inspections of all components including nozzles, detectors, and gas shutoff valves;
- Providing a list of spare parts needed for future visits;
- Compiling detailed reports on inspections and maintenance performed within 15 days post-service.

Period of Performance
The contract will be executed over one base year with four optional one-year periods, with maintenance visits scheduled semi-annually in January-February and July-August.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Chancery & Phora Compounds of the U.S. Embassy in Kathmandu, Nepal.
