Background
The contract is issued by the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) for the construction of a Nuclear Regional Maintenance Facility (NRMF) at Naval Submarine Base, Kings Bay, Georgia.

The mission of this project is to provide a facility that supports the maintenance and operational readiness of nuclear submarines. The goal is to construct a state-of-the-art facility that meets modern standards for safety and efficiency in military operations.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1. Constructing a new 137,153 square foot precast panel and structural steel frame building with aggregate pier ground improvements and reinforced concrete slab on grade.
2. Incidental site work including pavements, utilities, drainage, and demolition work.
3. Construction of a new lift station and upgrades to an existing lift station.
4. Relocating a dredge pipe and constructing a stand-alone 10,386 square foot emergency vehicle canopy for housing 12 emergency vehicles/trailers.
5. Building a temporary facility (3,116 square feet) to support personnel from Building 5233.
6. Creating an operational parking facility for approximately 300 vehicles with supporting infrastructure such as storm-water drainage features and lighting.
7. Demolition of Buildings 5233, 5194, 5195, and 5196 as part of the project scope.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for the contract is set at 1,720 calendar days from the date of award.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at Naval Submarine Base, Kings Bay, Georgia.
