RFI - Rapid DNA Testing Services & Support   2

Background
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is conducting market research to gain a greater understanding of the full range of available options for Rapid Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) testing services and support. The inquiry includes the procurement of labor services to perform Rapid DNA testing, deployment of Rapid DNA instruments at multiple CBP field locations, training, Rapid DNA instrument maintenance support, and twenty-four-hour reach-back support services.
This is a Request for Information (RFI) released pursuant to Part 10 – Market Research.

Work Details
Rapid DNA testing services and support are required to allow CBP the ability to offer and perform Rapid DNA testing at CBP field locations for purposes of verifying a claimed biological parent-child relationship in accordance with CBP's legal obligations governing the processing of noncitizen parents and children. The rapid DNA test results are requested in about 90 minutes from the time a sample is inserted into the diagnostic machine. The services will be implemented five days a week (M-F) from 7am to 5pm at multiple CBP field locations along the Southern Border.
Twenty-four-hour reach-back support services are requested to adjudicate indeterminate results and troubleshoot equipment. Mail-in Rapid DNA testing services may be requested for select locations within the United States and territories where there is no testing equipment located on the premises as required.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at multiple CBP field locations along the Southern Border, including El Paso, Texas; Ajo, Arizona; Tucson, Arizona; Chula Vista, California; Nogales, Arizona; Alpine, Texas; Del Rio, Texas; Yuma, Arizona; Sierra Blanca, Texas; Donna, Texas; Calexico, California; Laredo, Texas.
