RFI: Italy to Germany – 112GB – Pair

This amendment to the RFI is to answer the following question:

Q1: We would like to double-check if United Kingdom and France should really be avoided. If so, the options to enter Germany are very limited. Is the expectation to go via Croatia or Slovenia? It would be very indirect way (considering latency etc). The RFI states, Circuit 2 shall avoid mainland Italy, United Kingdom, Ukraine, Moldova, Greece, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro.

A1: The avoidance is different for each circuit. Circuit 1 does avoid France and Circuit 2 does not avoid France. Circuit 1 does not avoid Italy and United Kingdom, but Circuit 2 avoids mainland Italy and United Kingdom.

DITCO-Europe is seeking information for an OTU-4 (112 GB) diverse pair between Sigonella, IT, Capodichino, IT, and Landstuhl, DEU. This publication is a Request for Information (RFI) from the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) regarding services Outside the Contiguous United States (OCONUS).

The purpose of this RFI is to conduct market research. Information obtained through this RFI will be used to determine appropriate strategies to meet the Agency's requirements.
