RFI for USSOCOM Rapid Experimentation of Prototyping Technology in Learning Environments 26-1

Background
The U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) is seeking technology experimentation candidates for the REPTILE (Rapid Experimentation of Prototyping Technology in Learning Environments) event, specifically focusing on Counter-Unmanned-Systems (C-UxS). This initiative aims to explore innovative technologies that can enhance future Special Operations Forces (SOF) capabilities.

The REPTILE 26-1 event will take place from September 8 to September 18, 2026, in Gulfport, MS.

Work Details
Participants are invited to submit nominations for man-portable C-UxS systems that can operate effectively in denied areas and neutralize drone swarms. The experimentation will focus on systems at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 6 or higher, with the goal of validating these systems at TRL 7 through combat-simulated environments.

Key tasks include:
1. Demonstrating the capability to defeat a swarm of up to 10 Group 1-2 autonomous drones from static positions in wooded terrain during day and night conditions.
2. Providing operational assessments of the C-UxS systems employed by a dismounted SOF Team.
3. Ensuring systems can detect, track, classify, and neutralize unmanned aerial threats across various platforms and configurations.
4. Integrating detection and engagement capabilities into existing command and control systems.

The contract activities will occur during the REPTILE event from September 8 to September 18, 2026.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide C-UxS systems that meet specific capability considerations including: fully integrated detection and engagement capabilities; early warning systems; semiautonomous and autonomous platforms; electromagnetic hardened systems capable of operating in contested environments; and low collateral effectors. Additionally, bidders must comply with safety requirements outlined in the USSOCOM REPTILE Dismounted Counter-Unmanned Systems Event Safety Guide and submit risk assessments as required.
