RFI for Site G Government-owned Pharmaceuticals, Medical Supplies, and Medical Equipment   5

Background
The General Services Administration (GSA) Assisted Acquisition Services (AAS) is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) on behalf of a U.S. Government Agency that is considering a requirement for managed services for medical supplies and pharmaceuticals at a contractor-provided site, referred to as 'Site G'.

The purpose of this RFI is to gather information on the capabilities of the market to provide these services, which will assist in tailoring the requirements and selecting an appropriate procurement source. The responses may also help determine if a future Request for Proposal (RFP) will be set aside for Small Business.

The designated geographical area for Site G is located in the Mid-Atlantic region, and a map of this area will be provided to respondents who agree to confidentiality terms.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing managed services that include:

1. A fully staffed and operational facility during core hours (Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.) capable of handling logistics for medical supplies and pharmaceuticals.
2. Receiving, staging, sorting, managing, inventorying, weighing, packaging, certifying, and loading onsite inventory.
3. Handling palletized shipments with a capacity to process 100 pallets per hour and supporting an automated small partial shipments system with 300 shipments per hour.
4. Providing emergent surge support 24/7 within two hours of notification at a rate of 200 pallets per hour.
5. Implementing an inventory management system that transmits data in real-time.

Period of Performance
The anticipated contract period is ten years, structured with a five-year base period followed by five one-year option periods.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at Site G located in the Mid-Atlantic region.
