The Space Systems Integration Office provides this RFI to industry to get feedback on the USSF Government Reference Architecture (GRA) for a Digital Engineering Ecosystem (DEE) to be applied to Capability Development efforts across the United States Space Force (USSF) as well as an understanding of the existing industry capabilities with developing a DEE. One of four key focus areas that comprise the framework for implementing the changes necessary to realize a Digital Space Force Vision1. Digital
Engineering is an integrated digital approach that uses authoritative sources of data and models as a continuum across disciplines to support lifecycle activities from concept through disposal (DoD Digital Engineering Strategy, 2018). DE includes all aspects of capability development as well as the supporting DEE. The DEE is the interconnected infrastructure, environment, and methodology (process, methods, and tools) used to store, access, analyze, and visualize evolving systems data and models to address the needs of stakeholders (based on definition from Defense Acquisition University).

The DEE is the interconnected infrastructure, environment, and methodology used to store, access, analyze, and visualize evolving systems data and models to address the needs of stakeholders.

Work Details
The RFI seeks feedback on the GRA and identifies industry concepts and existing capabilities for implementing and/or operating a digital engineering ecosystem in compliance with the GRA. It also requests detailed business information from potential respondents and poses specific questions related to digital engineering ecosystem development, data handling, cyber capabilities, infrastructure needs, and integration strategies.
