Description

REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI)

The objective of this Request for Information (RFI) is to survey the market for mature,
commercially available (or proprietary/non-proprietary) technologies from industry providers
that can help forensically trace and attribute non-traditional methods of exfiltrating sensitive or
classified materials from FBI managed workstations.

The cost of responding to the RFI shall be exclusively borne by the
organization submitting the information. No costs will be reimbursed by the Government. The
FBI makes no implied or in fact contract by issuing this RFI.

Background
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is seeking to gather information on advanced forensic capabilities that can identify non-traditional insider data exfiltration methods.

The goal of this Request for Information (RFI) is to survey the market for commercially available technologies that can assist in tracing and attributing methods used to exfiltrate sensitive or classified materials from FBI managed workstations. This initiative is part of the FBI's mission to enhance its capabilities in managing insider threats.

Work Details
The FBI's Insider Threat Office is issuing this RFI to: gather industry information; request insights on any industry changes or improvements that should be considered when developing products and capabilities compatible with the commercial environment; and identify potential barriers to obtaining solutions that meet the stated objectives.
