Resurface Gym Floor

Background
The 87th Force Support Squadron (87 FSS) at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst is seeking a contractor to resurface the gym floors at the McGuire Fitness Center. This project aims to maintain the safety and integrity of the floors used during intramural and varsity sports leagues. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary labor, tools, supplies, materials, transportation, and equipment for the refinishing work.

Work Details
The contractor shall perform the following tasks to refinish the gymnasium court flooring:
1. Thoroughly clean and abrade the surface of the hardwood floors.
2. Lightly sand the floor using 120 grit abrasive screens.
3. Vacuum the floor.
4. Tack and clean the floor using an adhesion promoter.
5. Apply a base coat and a top coat consisting of premium Bona Sport Poly 350 Low VOC High Solids floor finish (or equivalent).

Court specifications:
- Each basketball court measures approximately 10,266 square feet.
- Each racquetball court measures approximately 800 square feet.
- All courts will be NCAA regulation size.

Period of Performance
The refinishing shall take place no later than September 2026 and is expected to be completed within two weeks from the start date, which should be no more than 30 days from the date of award.
