Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking to procure Restroom Janitorial Services for the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center located at 2002 Holcombe Boulevard, Houston, TX. The goal of this contract is to ensure that all identified restrooms are maintained in a clean and sanitary condition in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and applicable regulations.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all personnel, supplies, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, transportation, and other items necessary to clean all identified restrooms as specified in the PWS. This includes:

1. Cleaning all surfaces within restrooms to prevent buildup of dirt and ensure sanitary conditions.

2. Providing Microfiber Mop Systems and other housekeeping equipment as required.

3. Maintaining effective quality control to ensure compliance with contract standards.

4. Performing services during normal business hours (7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.) and also accommodating requests for cleaning outside these hours as needed.

5. Ensuring a maximum response time of 30 minutes for incident-specific cleanup requests.

6. Adhering to local, state, and federal regulations regarding custodial services.

7. Providing adequate staffing at all times and having a supervisor or shift leader present on each shift.

Period of Performance
The contract will cover a base period of 12 months starting from June 1, 2025, with four optional one-year extension periods available.
