Residential Furniture Rental Program for the U.S. Embassy Spain and Portugal   3

Background
The contract is for a Residential Furniture Rental Program for the U.S. Embassy in Spain and Portugal. The U.S. Government requires the contractor to provide residential furniture for U.S. Government leased/owned residences in Madrid and Barcelona, Spain, and Lisbon, Portugal. The furniture shall be supplied on a rental basis and remain the property of the contractor during the entire duration of the contract.

Work Details
The contractor shall perform services as described in the Statement of Work of this contract, including acquisition, storage, insurance, maintenance, transportation, delivery, pick-up, packing, installation, and installation materials of all furniture and items leased under this contract. The contractor shall also provide maintenance services for all rented furniture during the rental period and be responsible for repair or replacement of relevant furniture items when due to normal wear and tear.
Additionally, the contractor shall provide short-term rental furniture, kitchenware, linen sets, welcome and departure kits (Spain only), and maintenance services for all rented furniture.

Period of Performance
The period of performance of this contract is for one base year with four one-year options.

Place of Performance
The geographic locations where the contract will be performed are Madrid and Barcelona in Spain and Lisbon in Portugal.
