Synopsis:

NASA/NSSC has a requirement for Research grade Gallium Nitride amplifier.

NASA/NSSC intends to issue a sole source contract to GANIFY, INC., Elings Hall Bldg 266 Room 3448 University Of California Santa Barbara, California 93106-0001, under the authority of FAR 12.102(a). It has been determined that GANIFY, INC. is the sole provider of Research grade Gallium Nitride amplifier

NASA/NSSC will be the procuring center for this effort. Performance will be located at NASA/ Glenn Research Center (GRC).

The Government intends to acquire Commercial items or services using the provisions, clauses and procedures prescribed in FAR Part 12 for Commercial

The NAICS Code for this procurement is 334419

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 8:00 a.m. Central Standard Time on 7/2/2026. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.

Background
NASA/NSSC has a requirement for research grade Gallium Nitride amplifiers. The agency intends to issue a sole source contract to GANIFY, INC., as they are determined to be the sole provider of these amplifiers. NASA/NSSC will be the procuring center for this effort, with performance located at NASA/Glenn Research Center (GRC).

Work Details
The contractor will provide 20 research grade Gallium Nitride amplifiers capable of operating at 800 °C in air for a minimum of 1 hour. Each amplifier must meet the following specifications:
- Transistor minimum On/O ratio of 500 at 800 °C, with higher numbers preferred.
- Amplifier chip size must not exceed 2.5 mm x 2.5 mm.
- Pin layouts and counts must have input ports diagonally opposite from bottom right to top left, with the output port placed top right above the input port.
- Unity gain bandwidth of 0.5 MHz at 800 °C in air.
- Minimum gain of 20 dB at 800 °C in air, with higher gains preferred.
- Vdd-Vss rail-rail voltage of 15 V or less.
- In-situ electrical testing of 3 representative amplifiers from the same batch delivered at 800 °C for a minimum of 1 hour is required, with longer durations preferred.
- Ex-situ electrical testing of 3 representative amplifiers before and after aging at 800 °C in air for 1 hour is also required.

Testing documents to be delivered include:
- Room temperature to 800 °C electrical testing results for the representative amplifiers.
- Room temperature electrical testing results for all delivered amplifiers.
- Testing results using a customer’s dummy silicon carbide pressure sensor chip with each amplifier, under a sensor output load between 500 and 1500 ohms.

Period of Performance
Delivery shall be completed no later than six months upon receipt of purchase order.

Place of Performance
NASA/Glenn Research Center (GRC), Cleveland, Ohio.

Bidder Requirements
The contractor must demonstrate capabilities and qualifications to perform the work as specified in the Statement of Work.
