Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) Engineering and Technical Support (RETS)

Background
The Department of War (DoW), Washington Headquarters Services Acquisition Directorate (WHS/AD) is conducting a Sources Sought Notice (SSN) to gather information on the availability and capabilities of businesses to provide Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) Engineering and Technical Support (RETS).

The Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering (USW(R&E)) oversees the Department's R&E enterprise, focusing on technology development, transition, and administration of testing ranges. The Office of the Assistant Secretary of War for Science and Technology (OASD(S&T)) manages the Department's S&T portfolio and advocates for its workforce and laboratory infrastructure.

Work Details
The contractor will provide non-personal services necessary for RDT&E Engineering and Technical Support across various areas:
1. Mission Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering & Developmental Test and Evaluation;
2. Prototyping, Experimentation, and Demonstration;
3. Modeling & Simulation;
4. Operations Research;
5. Science and Technology Research and Assessment;
6. Data Management & Analysis;
7. Ad-Hoc Surge Support.

Specific tasks include planning, analyzing, integrating operational systems, conducting experimentation under measured conditions, providing modeling support to understand technology contributions in future environments, employing techniques for optimal decision-making in operations research, and developing strategies for technology demonstrations.

The services will be performed at various locations as required by the tasks outlined in the contract.
